“Church bells ringin'”

We used our 5.8G tracker at the new spot and threw the WingX after a longer break into the air. After 2km the video link became pretty poor what is surprising as we have normally a range up to 10km. Switched to the 2.4G tracker and Boscam 2.4G TX and… perfect picture by flying long range! We crossed a nice village and almost could hear church bells ringin’ 🙂

“Yagi check”

Today we tested the TBS 2.4GHZ Yagi (11DB) antenna. For me there was absolut no difference to the 2G4 RX tuned flying my usual routes. I don’t know if I ever want to go further then some miles with the Caipirinha. If… we’ll check the Yagi again. Thx to Micha for acting as an biological tracker 🙂

“A portable setup”

The final config for the TBS Caipirinha is done. The 2G4 TX/RX tuned are doin’ an outstanding job. The FPV signal is better than ever and flying behind objects so much fun! Also it is a relief to travel from time to time with such a portable setup. Sometimes the big setup with our trackers is a real pain in the ass.

“Close to the Alps”

See our first video from winter flight season 2013/2014. We used a Wing-X  (http://www.modellbau-joost.de) a Knurrus Maximus (http://www.epp-versand.de) and a DJI Flame Wheel 450 (http://www.dji.com).

For video tracking we trust in MyFlyDream 12CH AAT (http://www.myflydream.com) and are using two of them to have a redundant system. The antenna (CL, SPW & Helix) are handmade by “rabe2000”. For video recording we have a set of Hero 3 cameras… for FPV we love the pixim seawulf 690 TVL.
